If you have problems with Voilà! or Serenade, please try one of the following solution first. If you don't find a solution here, contact us or tell us on our Support forum!
- Restart your Device. If you are having problems, try this first. A lot of problems are solved by simply restarting your iPhone or iPod Touch.
- Re-download the Application. If restarting your device doesn't solve the problem, you may want to try re-downloading the application and installing it again. Your accounts information (like your Titter login and Password) will be deleted, you will just have to re-enter them. Also don't worry, you will not be charged again if you re-download the application from the App Store.
- Keep your iPhone OS up to date. iPhone and iPod touch software updates generally provide system bug fixes that may solve issues in our applications or increase their speed. Be sure to keep your software up to date by connecting your device with iTunes and making sure you always have the latest version of the OS installed.

I cannot tap the Sharing button
If the sharing button is not activated and tapping on it doesn't do anything, it's because we're still looking for a link to your song online, and it can take up to 30 seconds to do that. If you don't have any network connection available, it's mentioned on the Album Art area, and we cannot generate a link to your song, so you cannot share the song you're listening to.Top

If the sharing button is active, and you can tap on it, but you have alerts telling you that the link to the song cannot be generated. it can be because iTunes or bit.ly are unresponsive, and it;s usually the case for a very small period of time. If it lasts, and you can't seem to generate a link to your song, please let us know!Top

If we cannot find your song on the iTunes Store, based on the data your iPod is giving us, we will generate a search link with that data on the iTunes store. Please make sure that the metadata of your songs in your iPod library is correct, or we'll have a hard time finding your song on the iTunes Store.Top

It happens. Based on the metadata of the song you are listening to, on your iPod, we search on the iTunes store, and this is what iTunes send us back. It's not perfect. Can my current location be automatically updated to Fire Eagle and/or on my Twitter profile?
If you want to automatically post your current location to Fire Eagle, when Voilà! has a precise enough location, just activate (switch to ON) the "Update Fire Eagle" option in your preferences. Do the same thing with the "Update Twitter Profile" option to automatically post your current location on your Twitter profile.

Can I see a bigger map of my current location?
Just click on the map to open Google Maps on your iPhone or iPod touch. If you don't have the Maps application (previous versions of the iPod touch), it will launch Safari on the Google Maps website.

How long does it takes to usually have a precise enough location?
Voilà! will use the location technology built-in the iPhone and iPod touch to determine your current location. It finds your location via GPS or by triangulating your position using Wi-Fi and cellular towers. Voilà! will search for the best possible location during 20 seconds before to stop looking for it, in order to not use too much of your battery. If you want to try to have a better or more current location, just push the refresh button!

Why can't Voilà! find my current location?
There can be multiple reasons why Voilà! can't find your current location.
You might not have a network connection (Edge, 3G or Wi-Fi),
You might not be near Wi-Fi stations or the GPS cannot determine your location,
You might be in a bunker or a sand trap?

Why the address displayed is not exactly my current location address?
Voilà! finds your location via GPS or by triangulating your position using Wi-Fi and cellular towers. Depending on the technology used, the accuracy of your current location can varies. Then, Voilà! ask for your current address to Fire Eagle and the accuracy can also varies. Both Fire Eagle and us are trying to improve the way we find and display your current location! Trust us!

How do I know that my location has been successfully updated on Fire Eagle?
If you checked the preference that automatically post your location to Fire Eagle, after 20 seconds or as soon as you stop the search of your location, your current location will be sent to Fire Eagle, and your iPhone or iPod touch will play an Eagle sound and/or vibrate. That means that your location has correctly been sent to Fire Eagle.
If you want to manually send your current location to Fire Eagle, a little spinner will appear in the "Update Location" button while your current location is being sent to Fire Eagle.

By helping applications respond to your location, Fire Eagle is designed to make the world around you more interesting! Fire Eagle allows you to share your locations with other sites and services safely through a secure server - you are always in control. You can decide to share your location with any site that can use it, and even choose how much detail to give that application (exact point, neighborhood, city, state, country).

Fire Eagle will not disclose your location to any application unless you specifically give us your permission to do so. To keep your location secure, we strongly advise that you only share it with applications that you trust. If you are unsure about applications you sign up for, you can always remove their permission to access your account on the My Applications page. If you feel that your location information had been compromised, let us know immediately.
